Language

The platform’s interface can be shown in any of the supported languages below. There are two places to set a language — one for the whole school, and one just for you — and they work together in a simple, predictable way.

Every language is shown by its own native name in the picker — not translated into whatever language you’re currently viewing the app in — so it’s always recognizable regardless of your current setting.

More languages are added over time; this list will grow.

Changing the language for your whole school

Section titled “Changing the language for your whole school”

This sets the default language every member of your organization sees, unless they’ve picked their own (see below).

  1. Go to Settings → General.

  2. Find the Language field.

  3. Search or scroll to pick a language, or choose Same as organization / browser default to clear it.

  4. The change applies immediately — no save button needed.

Anyone — owner, manager, teacher, staff, student, or parent — can override the school’s language for themselves, without needing any special permission and without changing what anyone else sees.

  1. Click your avatar in the top corner to open the profile menu, then select Profile.

  2. In the Personal Information section, find the Language field.

  3. Pick your preferred language, or choose Same as organization to go back to following the school’s setting.

  4. Click Save Changes.

Your choice is saved to your own account and follows you everywhere you’re signed in — it has no effect on any other user, and no effect on the organization’s own language setting.

The interface always resolves your language in this order:

  1. Your personal language, if you’ve set one on your profile — this always wins.

  2. Otherwise, your organization’s language, if the school has set one.

  3. Otherwise, your browser’s language, if it’s one of the supported languages above.

  4. Otherwise, English.

If you’re a member of more than one school (for example, an owner or manager with access to multiple organizations), your personal language — if set — follows you to every school. Each school’s own language setting only applies to members who haven’t set a personal override.
