The Email settings page lets you connect one of five supported email API providers. Once configured, all system emails — invitations, fee receipts, result notifications, and more — are sent from your own domain and sender name instead of a generic platform address.
Status badge
Section titled “Status badge”The badge in the top-right corner of this page shows the current state:

How to configure email
Section titled “How to configure email”-
Choose a provider
Section titled “Choose a provider”Click the card for the provider you have an account with. The API key placeholder updates to show the expected key format.

Set the sender identity
Section titled “Set the sender identity”- From Name — the display name recipients see in their inbox (e.g. Spring Valley School).
- From Email — the address the email appears to come from (e.g.
noreply@yourschool.edu). This address must be verified in your email provider’s dashboard.

Enter the API key
Section titled “Enter the API key”Paste the API key from your provider’s dashboard into the API Key field. Click the eye icon on the right to toggle visibility.
If you selected Mailgun, an additional Mailgun Domain field appears — enter the sending domain you registered in Mailgun (e.g.
mg.yourschool.edu).A Get API key → link below the field opens the provider’s documentation in a new tab.

Test the connection
Section titled “Test the connection”Click Test Connection. The system sends a live verification request to the provider using your credentials.
- A green banner means the key is valid and the connection works.
- A red banner shows the exact error message returned by the provider.

Once the test passes, click Save (or Update if you are editing an existing config). The status badge in the top-right changes to [Provider] · Active.
Removing the email configuration
Section titled “Removing the email configuration”If you need to disconnect the provider:
- Click Remove at the bottom-left of the page.
- Confirm in the dialog that appears.
The status badge reverts to Not configured and all emails fall back to the platform default sender.
Who can change email settings?
Section titled “Who can change email settings?”Only users with the Settings — edit permission can configure or remove the email provider. By default this is limited to the school owner and administrators.
